Description
Performance management ensures employees and the organization are focused on the same priorities. It touches on the organization itself by improving productivity and ensuring objectives/goals are achieved. It helps the employee set and meet effective and relevant goals, and improves the employee/manager relationship.
Performance review goes hand-in-hand with performance management. We manage our employees’ performance through a strategic approach that ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization. Managing employee performance facilitates the effective delivery of strategic and operational goals. Performance management enables for improved organizational results. Performance review provides detailed and valuable feedback to employees around their performance in meeting the goals of the group, department, and the organization. Performance review conversations are not easy to have. As managers, we are not always comfortable giving feedback to employees, especially if that feedback needs to be constructive feedback for performance that needs to improve. Planning for review sessions, however, increases that confidence needed.
This 3-hour virtual workshop will share a number of best practices for performance management and feedback/review. Through a variety of discussions, team mini case studies and individual assignments, participants will learn and apply best practices for performance management and review, increasing their confidence and comfort in having conversations on performance with their employees.
This workshop can incorporate performance management and review forms/templates in use by client; enabling for more effective transfer and application of skills.
