Develop and expand business skills necessary for anyone in the organization to be successful personally and professionally. These workshops include advanced skills.

Communications

  • This workshop covers the basics of communication including verbal and non-verbal, active listening. The goal is to increase participants’ skills in how they are communicating about business matters within the organization.

  • This workshop enables participants to improve their business writing skills using a five-step process to ensure writing products desired results. Participants are asked to being to the class an idea for a written communication.

  • The ability to communicate effectively up, down and across the organization is tied to the ability of the individual communicating to adapt his/her communications. This workshop helps participants to identify their communication style and use that information to deliver effective and credible communications in any situation.

  • In this workshop, participants explore their emotional intelligence, and develop ways to strengthen their emotional intelligence. Prior to the workshop, participants will take a mini self-assessment that will be used as the base for creating an action plan to continue to refine and strengthen their emotional intelligence skills.

  • Participants learn a four-step process to ensure a more successful outcome of difficult conversations. This workshop provides a variety of techniques and best practices to prepare for through to having difficult conversations.

  • No matter our role in the organization, we need to learn how to influence others. Influencing enables us to accomplish our goals and the goals of the organization. This workshop helps participants to identify their influencing style and to adapt that style to influence others more effectively. Influencing is remote and virtual environments is covered in this workshop.

  • This workshop helps participants to see the opportunity, or positive, side of conflict. Conflict is good when it is used for the right purposes – such as innovation, problem solving, to make the best decisions, or to challenge the status quo. This workshop can be followed up with coaching sessions to help participants develop strategies to address a conflict.

  • Participants utilize storyboarding techniques to develop presentations that influence and drive decision making. A number of best practices to create and deliver presentations are shared in this workshop. This session can be followed up with a second session, enabling for participant presentations and improvement through feedback.

  • We connect through emotions; therefore, storytelling enables for engaging and motivating others to support our ideas, help us on our projects, or to adopt change happening in the organization. Participants should bring to this workshop an idea or need for a story to create. This workshop can be followed up with coaching sessions to help participants further craft and refine their story.

  • This workshop focuses on providing technical writers with the skills needed to create technical documentation that is more easily understood. A variety of best practices, tips, and techniques for writing technical documentation will be shared.

Diversity & Inclusion

  • The ability to work across cultural boundaries – whether the organization is global or not – reduces misunderstandings and enables for improved collaboration. In this workshop, participants increase their understanding of cultural orientations and value systems.

  • This workshop explores unconscious bias and its impact in the workplace. Participants will learn how to recognize their own unconscious bias and unconscious bias in others. When this workshop is for leaders only, the impact and negative influence of unconscious bias in recruiting, talent development and performance management is explored.

Problem Solving & Decision Making

  • This workshop improves problem solving through using a creative problem-solving process. Participants utilize a number of techniques and tools to enable for innovation in problem solving; ensuring they are exploring all possible paths to a solution.

  • Brainstorming supports innovation in problem solving and decision making. When we get a variety of individuals involved in solving a problem or making a key decision, we enable for diversity in the process, which leads to better decision making. This workshop enables participants to practice a variety of brainstorming techniques that can be used within the workplace.

  • Mind mapping enables for improved collaboration with teams. Mind mapping can be used for a variety of purposes such problem solving and brainstorming. This workshop will teach mind mapping techniques to participants.

  • This workshop provides participants a process for negotiating – developing a strategy to negotiate regardless of the situation. A variety of models will be explored and practiced in the workshop. This session can be followed up with a second session or one-on-one coaching for participants to prepare for an upcoming negotiation in which they are involved.

  • This workshop provides participants with skills in critical thinking in order to support solving the most complex business problems. Participants learn three aspects of critical thinking as well as critical questions that support complex problem solving.

Professional Development

  • While it is important that our leaders motivate and engage us in the workplace, we also have responsibility to self-motivate. This workshop provides ideas to avoid negative thinking patterns and increase our self-confidence and attention management.

  • This workshop helps participants develop techniques to make themselves more attuned to the present moment. Participants will develop a number of strategies to cultivate positive emotions, through learning from introspection and identifying and countering distorted thinking.

  • Being assertive and having self-confidence enables for success in the workplace. We all have negative thoughts and are often tougher on ourselves than others are. This workshop provides best practices and ideas to enables participants to be more assertive in the workplace and increase their self-confidence.

  • Challenging customers can be stressful! This workshop provides a number of techniques and tips to manage the most challenging customer, through using communication and active listening skills, and building strong relationships to establish trust with the customer.

  • We all service customers – every day. These may be internal or external. You might be on the front lines of a company serving customers who buy your products or services, provide support for a particular tool or software used by your customers, or provide support for internal customers.
